It’s a beautiful time! And, we’re starting our Spring Garden now. With the ground tilled and the beds raked, we planted our onion sets on Monday–10,000 onions are in the ground (that’s 5 beds, 3 rows per bed)! And, there are still more to plant! Yesterday’s misty morning was the perfect weather for the onions.
What else? Our cilantro withstood the freezes in the winter, so we are continuing to harvest it, and will have more cilantro in the coming weeks.
We’re planting peas, spinach, and salad greens after we finish with the onions this month. So, in about 6 weeks we’ll have our new, spring crop of spinach and salad greens out of the ground.
What to look forward to in February? Greens will be picking-up. I know everyone will be eager to have more spinach, lettuce and salad greens mixed-in with the root veggies!

My family (including kids) would love to volunteer the next time you need volunteers. We wanted to last time but we already had plans!
